Work closely with refugee families as they adjust and acclimate to life in Rochester. This position requires the most time and interaction with families!
Duties Include:
- Creating a schedule with clients to practice English in their homes or a place of your choosing.
- Could involve having conversation hours, playing games to build vocabulary, going on field trips, and/or working through researched English language learning materials.
Schedule: Volunteers have the freedom to establish their own schedule, including weekends. This will be discussed with staff prior to volunteering.
